The ceremony of starting the works for the new National Theater was accompanied by a protest by civil society activists and citizens.

The police did not allow any of the protesters to approach the place where the ceremony will be held.

This caused their reaction, when the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, arrived, they started calling him "Thief, thief".

The lawyer of the Alliance for the Theater, Adriana Kalaja, appealed again to the SPAK with the argument that over 34 times they have requested the imposition of a preventive seizure on the land.

"Today, the prosecutor Edvin Kondili, the prosecutor who fled Arben Kraja and the new prosecutor who has been appointed the head of SPAK, should feel guilty, they should feel ashamed, because they gave an opportunity to a bandit to start the work", he said Kalaja./ CNA.al
