Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias has landed in Tirana, where during the meeting with Minister Olta Xhaçka, he discussed the issue of 12 miles of sea expansion for Greece.

Xhaçka announced that there was a compromise from both sides to refer the case to the Hague Court.

In a statement, the Greek counterpart stated that the international law of the sea will regulate bilateral relations and will open a new chapter for cooperation between Greece and Albania.

"Today we had the opportunity to talk about our bilateral relations. We talked about the agreement two years ago, so that we can bring to The Hague for the sea and the continental shelf. The international law of the sea is what will regulate bilateral relations and will create a new chapter of our bilateral relations. We also talked about our minorities here and the Albanians here. They are the bridge of our cooperation. In fact, the visit of the Greek Prime Minister will contribute to this aspect. We discussed the protection of the environment, especially the Vjosa River, and we agreed on its protection, the announcement will be made on the 22nd and 23rd," he said./ CNA.al
