The Fier Prosecutor's Office has decided to send citizen B.Sh for trial, on charges of committing the criminal offenses of "Ill-treatment of a minor" and "Domestic violence".

This citizen was accused by his wife of having abused their minor son.

Announcement:  

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Fier, completed the investigations and sent to trial the citizen B.Sh., accused of committing the criminal offenses "Ill-treatment of a minor" and "Domestic violence", provided for by article 124/b paragraph 1 and article 130/a paragraph 4 of the Criminal Code.

The investigations into criminal proceedings no. 839, of 2025, began after on 12.06.2025, citizen EM filed a report against citizen B.Sh for the violence inflicted on their son, minor citizen N.Sh.

This citizen reported that during the time they were married, her husband had always exercised psychological and physical violence, but in recent months this violence had increased significantly, to the point that it forced her to leave the apartment together with her minor child.

The investigation revealed that on 12.06.2023, husband B.Sh. took his son to his apartment and then called his wife EM, telling her that he would no longer see his son and showing him the minor son, as well as how he was hitting him with his palm.

Under these conditions, citizen B.Sh. was arrested, and a security measure was imposed on him. Also, for this event, an immediate protection order was issued for the minor citizen.

After completing a rapid, complete and comprehensive investigation, it was proven that the defendant B.Sh. has committed elements of the criminal offense of "Domestic Violence" and "Ill-treatment of a Minor" provided for in Articles 130/a/4 and 124/b/1 of the Criminal Code.

In addition, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier expresses its full commitment to investigating and holding legally accountable persons who commit criminal offenses against the family./CNA
