"Justice for the Liberators"/ Today's protest in Tirana for

Today at 5:00 PM, a protest will be held in Skanderbeg Square in defense of former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, who are being tried in The Hague on charges of war crimes.

"Justice for the Liberators" is the slogan of this protest, which is expected to gather citizens from Albania and Kosovo.

Former President Alfred Moisiu and DUI leader Ali Ahmeti will speak at this protest. 60 buses will depart from Kosovo to Tirana.

For this protest, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy has announced that no tolls will be paid on Rruga e Kombit for 24 hours.

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has come out in support of the protest. In a press conference, Osmani stressed that the Kosovo Liberation Army's war was just.

Përparim Rama, the mayor of Pristina, and Lutfi Haziri, one of the main leaders of the LDK, will also join the protest to be held in Tirana.

Mayor Rama has announced that he has signed a letter, which provides free transportation for all veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army who will protest in Tirana.

On the other hand, the majority MPs in Tirana have announced that they will be part of the protest, while the opposition will not participate, discussions which took place the day before in the Assembly.

Prime Minister Edi Rama himself stated that he would participate in the protest if the issue was not politicized, while on the other hand, the Vetëvendosje Movement said that it is not necessary to fill the squares but to speak in international forums, where diplomacy speaks./ CNA
