Corruption investigations against former head of Rrugores/SPAK: Sent for trial

SPAK sends three Traffic Police employees and two citizens for trial for active and passive corruption

The Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has completed the investigations and sent for trial to the Special Court of First Instance, criminal proceedings, no. 91/1 of 2023, against five defendants, accused of the criminal offenses of active and passive corruption of officials of the justice system, provided for by articles 319, 319/ç and 25 of the Criminal Code.

The defendants

Roven Zeka,  acting Head of the Police Station at the Traffic Police Station in the Local Police Directorate, Tirana, accused of committing the criminal offense, "Passive corruption of judges, prosecutors and other officials of the justice system", committed in collaboration, provided for by article 319/ç and 25 of the Criminal Code.

Sokol Novaku,  acting Head of the Road Accident Investigation Section at the Traffic Police Commissariat, Tirana, accused of committing the criminal offense of "Passive corruption of judges, prosecutors and other officials of the justice system", committed in collaboration, provided for by article 319/ç and 25 of the Criminal Code.

Edison Tabaku , Specialist in the Road Accident Investigation Section, accused of committing the criminal offense, "Passive corruption of judges, prosecutors and other officials of the justice system", committed in collaboration, provided for by article 319/ç and 25 of the Criminal Code.

Ergest Vrioni,  a citizen accused of committing the criminal offense, "Active corruption of judges, prosecutors and other officials of the justice system", committed in collaboration, provided for by articles 319 and 25 of the Criminal Code.

Bledi Belba,  a citizen accused of committing the criminal offense, "Active corruption of judges, prosecutors and other officials of the justice system", committed in collaboration, provided for by articles 319 and 25 of the Criminal Code...continues /CNA
