They tried to smuggle 11 kg of cocaine/ The police dog caught "mat" the two Albanians

The Croatian police have arrested two Albanian citizens after discovering 11.35 kg of cocaine in 20 packages hidden in the central space of the vehicle under the gear shifter and the armrest.

The arrest took place at the Karasoviqi border crossing on Tuesday at around 11:30 a.m., where police officers targeted the 30-year-old suspect and his 44-year-old passenger in the vehicle, both Albanians, with the help of their police dog, which managed to smell the narcotic substance in the central part of the vehicle.

By order of the District Court in Dubrovnik, the vehicle was searched and 20 packages with a total of 11 kg of heroin were found.

The driver and the passenger were arrested and the criminal investigation established that they intended to transport heroin from Albania to the Western European market. / CNA.al
