Who admits it: We do not meet 100% of the needs for teaching assistants
Minister of Education Evis Kushi

The Minister of Education, Evis Kushi, has listed the achievements of 2022 for education, saying that work is being done to increase the number of assistant teachers for students with disabilities.

Kushi has admitted that they have not yet met 100% of the needs, but hopes that very soon the teachers will all be educated with special services.

“25 shkolla dhe ambiente sportive rikonstruktuam gjatë vitit 2022. Kemi 79 godina arsimore e kopshte të rindërtuara. Dua të përmend 12 shkollat e reja të Bashkisë së Tiranës që arritën të hapeshin dhe janë investime shumë të mira e me perspektivë për vetë rritjen. Kemi ndërhyrë gjatë vitit 2022 në të gjitha aspektet e cilësisë së shërbimeve arsimore. Kemi pasur vëmendje të shtuar për nxënësit me aftësi ndryshe gjatë vitit 2022, kemi rritur ndjeshëm numrin e mësuesve ndihmës që tashmë janë me profil të arsimit special. Në bashkëpunim me universitetet janë hapur programe të reja për mësues ndihmës për nxënës me aftësi ndryshe. Nuk i përmbushim 100% nevojat, por shpresojmë që shumë shpejt mësuesit të jenë të gjithë të arsimuar me shërbim special.

The goal is also to qualify and train them so that their work is of better quality. We have also intervened with the psycho-social workers so that it is a standardized service. We have 880 psycho-social workers. There is increased awareness by students and parents about the quality of this service.

I am proud that this year we opened the high school for deaf students. Even the unique joint primer is work done with great dedication" , said Kushi./ CNA.al
