The General Prosecutor's Office has published data on criminal proceedings related to electoral crimes, within the framework of the task force in cooperation with the CEC, SPAK and the State Police.

The announcement states that a total of 44 reports have been registered in the prosecutor's offices of general jurisdiction.

Information on the number of criminal reports and proceedings registered in prosecutors' offices of general jurisdiction regarding criminal offenses in the field of elections

In the Prosecutor's Offices of the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, as of 07.05.2025, a total of 44 criminal reports have been registered regarding criminal offenses in the field of elections provided for by Articles 325, 326/a, 327, 328, 328/a, 328/b, 329, 329/a, 331/a and 332/a of the Criminal Code.

The sources of notification of criminal offenses for the above reports were: judicial police in 19 cases; SPAK in 9 cases; political entities in 6 cases; mainly initiated in 8 cases and citizens in 2 cases.

From the reports made to the General Prosecutor's Office, it results that the above reports were registered 5 in the Fier Prosecutor's Office, 3 in the Saranda Prosecutor's Office, 2 in the Durrës Prosecutor's Office, 7 in the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, 2 in the Gjirokastër Prosecutor's Office, 3 in the Kukës Prosecutor's Office, 3 in the Lezha Prosecutor's Office, 9 in the Dibër Prosecutor's Office, 2 in the Vlora Prosecutor's Office, 1 in the Korça Prosecutor's Office, 2 in the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office and 5 in the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office.

From the reports filed, a total of 20 criminal proceedings have been registered for the criminal offenses provided for in Articles 325, 326/a, 327, 328/a, 328/b, 329, 329/a, 331/a and 332/a of the Criminal Code as follows:

- A total of 5 proceedings have been registered at the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier, 2 proceedings for the criminal offense provided for in Article 325 of the Criminal Code, 1 proceeding for Article 328/a of the Criminal Code, 1 proceeding for Article 328/a, paragraph 4 of the Criminal Code and 1 proceeding for the criminal offense provided for in Article 328 of the Criminal Code;

- In the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra, 2 proceedings have been registered for criminal offenses provided for in Articles 326/1 and 329/1 of the Criminal Code;

- A total of 4 proceedings have been registered at the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan for criminal offenses provided for in Articles 328/a, 248, 332/a, 134/1 and 287/b of the Criminal Code;

- 1 proceeding has been registered at the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Durrës for criminal offenses provided for in Articles 328/a and 248 of the Criminal Code;

- 1 proceeding has been registered at the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Dibër for criminal offenses provided for in Articles 237/5 and 328/a, paragraph 4 of the Criminal Code;

- In the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra, 2 proceedings have been registered for criminal offenses provided for in Articles 328/a and 328/b of the Criminal Code;

- In the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Saranda, 2 proceedings have been registered for criminal offenses provided for in Articles 325 and 326/a of the Criminal Code;

- 1 proceeding has been registered at the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Kukës for the criminal offense provided for in Article 328/ai of the Criminal Code;

- 1 proceeding has been registered at the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korça for the criminal offense provided for in Articles 328/ai of the Criminal Code; and

-1 proceeding has been registered at the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora for the criminal offense provided for in Article 328/ai of the Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, 1 report from the Durrës Prosecutor's Office and one criminal proceeding from the Fier Prosecutor's Office have been sent to SPAK for its jurisdiction. The other reports are in the verification phase./ CNA
