Meeting at NATO Headquarters/SHISH Director Hyseni represents Albania in

NATO Chief Mark Rutte has gathered at the Alliance headquarters the heads of civilian and military intelligence services of allied countries.

At the meeting, which was held on November 19, and which comes at a critical moment for Euro-Atlantic security, Albania was represented by Vlora Hyseni, director of the State Intelligence Service (SHISH).

Participation in this meeting emphasizes Albania's commitment to security cooperation with NATO allies. According to information at the meeting, strategic discussions were held on key security issues, including Russian aggression in Ukraine, Moscow's relations with China, North Korea, Belarus and Iran, as well as the future of NATO intelligence, with a focus on new technologies.

During his speech at the meeting, Rutte said that the war in Ukraine shows that security is not regional, but global, while emphasizing that allies are exchanging intelligence faster and more widely than ever before.

The annual meetings serve to harmonize intelligence policies and strategies, strengthening support for NATO plans and operations. In addition to the annual sessions in Brussels, the committees meet regularly throughout the year. /CNA
