Rainfall situation in Lezha region/Landslides and energy problems

The Lezha Prefecture has updated information regarding the situation from rainfall and flooding in the region.

The territory of Lezha District continues to be affected by low to medium intensity rainfall but with short-term intervals, where according to data received from the Gjadër Military Meteorological Station, 26 mm of rain has fallen by 06:00.

The situation is as follows:
In the Kurbin municipality.
Today, work will continue to reinforce the Drojë river embankment, depending on the weather and river flows, and the working groups will continue to assess the damage.
OSHEE will continue to repair the Skuraj village line.
In the Lezhë municipality,
work will continue to reinforce and raise the damaged embankment with the means of DRUK, the municipality, the Armed Forces and private operators, if time permits.
Yesterday, 100 bundles of grass provided by the municipality were distributed.
Work will continue to assess the damage, as well as the distribution of aid, which is expected to come from RMSH (about 300 packages).
We have a decrease of about 10 cm in the water level today, after the crack in the embankment was closed all night, and the Tales hydropower plant was put into operation.
The MZSH teams have been working and will continue to work to remove water from the basements/parking lots of buildings in Shëngjin and Lezhë.
OSHEE reports that in the morning hours, feeder 7, which supplies the Grykë Zezë Hydroelectric Power Plant and the Nënë Tereza neighborhood of the city, has shown a defect. The working groups are on the ground and are working to repair it.
In the Mirdita municipality.
The two apartments that are at risk from landslides will be monitored, while municipal vehicles, seeing the rainfall, will intervene where it is most urgent.
The working groups for damage assessment will continue to identify the damage.
The water supply has continued regularly, while there have been occasional interruptions with electricity but it has been restored.
All hydropower plants are working at full capacity.
The level of the Drin River has increased but is within non-problematic quotas, as well as the Mat River, despite the discharges from the Shkopet and Qafë Mollë Hydroelectric Power Plants.
