SPAK took concrete steps/ What is the file of the former Partizani complex

The Special Court has provided some security measures for the persons under investigation in connection with the privatization of the former Partizani complex.

With an order signed by the prosecutors Arben Kraja and Enkeleda Millonai, as well as by the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, it was possible to arrest Jamarbër Malltez and the builder Fatmir Bektashi.

Meanwhile, the "obligation to appear" measure has been set for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

They are accused of corruption, money laundering, abuse of office and concealment of wealth in connection with the privatization of the former Partizani complex.

The report for the privatization of the former complex, where a complex of buildings was built, was made by the chairman of the parliamentary group of the Socialist Party, Taulant Balla.

Through this lawsuit, Balla accuses former prime minister Berisha, his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi and former minister Arben Imami of abuse of office.

The sports club "Partizani" was one of the complexes owned by the Ministry of Defense, where new constructions have been made today.

The property with about 10,000 m2, in the center of Tirana, began to be privatized in 2008 and was completed four years later, in 2012.

SPAK started investigations into this file two years ago and interrogated former defense ministers, Fatmir Mediu and Gazmend Oketa, former Minister of Economy, Trade and Energy Genc Ruli, former officials of the sports club Isa Tare and Afrim Tole, as well as the former head of the Logistics Support Command of the Armed Forces, Vladimir Qirjazi, and many other personalities./ CNA
