50,000 euros in contraband medicine/ Ministry of Health, appeal to citizens, order

Today, by order of the Prosecutor's Office, 16 people involved in illegal activity were arrested.

Smuggled drugs coming from neighboring countries entered Albania and were sold at higher prices.

The seized contraband drugs amounted to 50,000 euros.

After this action, the Ministry of Health reacted.

The Ministry has appealed to citizens not to accept medicines without a tax stamp.

" We congratulate the prosecutor's office and the state police structures for their work in preventing the entry of contraband drugs into our country.

All medicines in our pharmacies have a legal condition to be equipped with the fiscal stamp. Pharmacies, out of respect for citizens, must be careful in the sale of drugs, based on all the rules and laws in force.

On the other hand, we call on the citizens to be very careful in this aspect, and to accept only medicines equipped with the fiscal stamp.

The Ministry of Health, together with the dependent institutions and the competent bodies, will continue to be quite strict in taking measures and decisions, in terms of such criminal acts, which burden the health of our citizens", says the reaction of Ministry of Health./ CNA
