The Minister of Health, Albana Koçiu, visited this Friday the National Blood Transfusion Center, which is being transformed into a dignified building with contemporary conditions of European standards for providing quality service to citizens and optimal conditions for staff.

Koçiu says that where the investment enables the complete reconstruction of the internal environments, processing, testing, storage and distribution of blood.

In order to ensure maximum quality and guarantee equal access to blood in every part of the country, the complete digitization of the donor-patient chain will be done with state-of-the-art equipment.

In addition to the increase of donation reception capacities, improvement of blood processing and storage conditions, further automation of testing in specific laboratories will enable the increase of safety of blood testing./ CNA
