Basel-Mulhouse Euroairport was evacuated on Thursday afternoon. The reason for the evacuation initially remained unclear. The Swiss prefecture confirmed to Blick that "the terminal had to be evacuated for security reasons following a bomb threat".
Data from the airport's website shows that several flights have been cancelled, including from Munich, Frankfurt, Zurich and Amsterdam.
Two planes also diverted.
