The Court of Appeal has upheld the decision of the Court of First Instance for the 27 arrested within the mega-operation "Tempulli".

The Court of Appeal informs that the arrested had asked for a milder security measure, but for each of them the arrest measure was left in force.

The 27 arrested are accused of selling narcotics near schools.

"The appeal case was reviewed on the basis of the complaints submitted by the persons under investigation with the initials RP, Xh. Gj (B), EH, RA, EP, MK, ED, SS, S. M, BM, DS, DC (V), OV, LD, FQ, FA, FH, KK, KK, SM, KX, FP, EP, GH, ED, RM, and EC, who respectively asked for the change of the decision and the assignment of another security measure that is more lenient than "imprisonment". At the end of the trial, today on 19.10.2023, the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction, composed of the panel with Judge Ms. Valbona Vata, decided - The enforcement of the decision of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana", says the notice of the Court of Appeal.

The "temple" was spread over several cities and thanks to this mega-operation, about 200 people, members of 23 criminal groups that distributed drugs in residential areas and near schools, have ended up in handcuffs. Most of those arrested were from Durrës, Tirana, Korça and Vlora. Among those arrested were women and elderly people./ CNA
