Two Albanians are in the Gaza Strip, an area where Israel is continuing air strikes, after the Hamas attack on Saturday, October 7.

This fact was made known by the Albanian ambassador to Israel, Meri Kumbe, who revealed that it is about a brother and sister.

She said on the Blendi Fevzi show that the two Albanians have created their own families and have minor children.

Kumbe announced that their extraction from Gaza is impossible at the moment, but emphasized that the embassy is in constant contact with the Albanians.

"We have two cases, Albanians with Albanian passports. We didn't know before, the two are brother and sister and have families and young children. We are in constant communication and we are waiting. We are in coordination with all structures. Exit from Gaza is impossible, only through Egypt. We are in war conditions, I don't know if we can talk about safe places. It will be an international coordination between many countries that will be involved in the same crossing," she said.

The Albanian ambassador emphasized that there are other compatriots in Israel who are in doubt about returning to their homeland.

"There are still Albanians in Tel Aviv, mainly those who have been living in Israel for years, they were in a dilemma whether to leave or not. They have chosen to stay, two of them will return this week", underlined Meri Kumbe./ CNA
