Tirana Marathon/ The movement plan for vehicles and urban lines is clarified

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, the Tirana Marathon will take place in the capital and therefore there will be a traffic diversion.

Earlier, the authorities have announced plans for the movement of vehicles and urban lines for October 21-22.

Vehicle movement plan:

1. Restriction of vehicle traffic on October 21, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., for the running of the "Marathon Fun Run" sports activity organized by the Municipality of Tirana, on the boulevard "Dë?morët e Kombit" until the square "Skenderbej", with the exception of emergency vehicles and the State Police.

1- The circulation of vehicles will be done as follows:

- On "Lek Dukagjini" streets, "Mother Teresa" square, "Ibrahim Rugova" street, "Abdyl Frashëri" street and "Papa John Paul II" street.

- At the intersection of "Abdyl Frashëri" street with "Ibrahim Rugova" street, forced directions in function of traffic suspension in the segment of "Abdyl Frashëri" street with exit to "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard.

- At the intersection of "Bajram Curri" boulevard with "Ibrahim Rugova" street, forced right direction.

- At the intersection of "Myslym Shyri" street with "Ibrahim Rugova" street, forced right direction.

- At the intersection of "Ismail Qemali" street with "Pope John Paul II" street, forced directions in function of traffic suspension in the segment of "Ismail Qemali" street with exit to "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard.

2-The route of the movement of urban vehicles will be suspended along the entire "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard and the "Mother Teresa" square, as well as in all road segments that intersect with the above-mentioned route, as follows:

-Line No. 1/A "Headquarters — Crystal — Center — Allias Train Station" and,

-Line No. 1/B "Kodra e Diellit 2 — Kristal — Center — Train Station — Allias" diverts to "Ëilson" square to continue back to "Sami Frashëri"-"Myslym Shyri"-"Ibrahim Rugova" streets — "Gjergj" boulevard Fishta", and the rest of the route to the intersection of the Ministry of Justice.

- Line No. 2 "TEG - Old Sauk - Zoo - Former - Train Station" diverts to "Illson" square.

- Line No. 3 "Kashar - Yzberisht - Center" deviates to "e Kavaja" street at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" street (Bank of Albania) and to Cafe "Flora" - "Mine Peza" street - "e Durrës" street.

- Line No. 4 "Centre - QTU - Megatek - City Park" deviates from "Karl Topia" square - "Zogu 1" - from "Fortuzi" - Durrës street.

- Line No. 5/B "Institut - Center" deviates from "Karl Topia" square - "Zogu I" boulevard - "Fortuzi" street - "e Durrës" street.

- Line No. 8 "Former Train Station - Center - Sauk i Ri/ Sauk i Vjetër/ Sanatorium - TEG" deviates at the intersection of Elbasani - "Ismail Qemali" - "Bajram Curri" boulevard - "e Elbasani" street.

- Line No. 9 "Student City" - "Jordan Misja" street deviates at the intersection of "Elbasani" street - "Ismail Qemali" street - "Papa John Paul II" street - "Bajram Curri" boulevard - "Elbasani" street and the rest of the boulevard route "Zogu I" - "Fortuzi" street - "Mine Peza" street.

- Line No. 10/A "Materniteti i Ri - Center - Former Aviation Field" deviates to the bridge of "Elbasani" street and the rest to "e Kavaja" street at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" street (Bank of Albania).

- Line 10/B "Centre - Mihal Grameno - Center" diverts to the "Elbasani" road bridge

- Line No. 12/A "Uzina Dinamo e Re - Sharrë" diverts back to "e Kavaja" street at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" street (Bank of Albania) and the rest "Zogu I" - "Fortuzi" - "Mine Peza".

- Line 12/B "5 Maji - Sharrë" diverts back to "e Kavaja" street at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" street (Bank of Albania) and the rest of the "Zogu I" boulevard - "Fortuzi" street - "Mine" street Peza" - Ring Road - "5 Maji" Street

- Line No. 13 "Tirana e Re" according to the clock sense to be diverted to the intersection with "Myslym Shyri" street towards "Libri Universitar" on the way back to "Ëilson" square.

- Line No. 14 "Unaza" to divert to the "Elbasani" road bridge and the "Sami Frashëri" road bridge - Line No. 15 "Kombinat - Kinostudio" divert to "e Kavajë" street at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" street (Bank of Albania) and the rest at the intersection with "Unaza e Vogël" continue straight (back TOB).

3-Restriction of vehicle traffic on October 22, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the smooth running of the "Tirana Marathon 2023" sports activity organized by the Municipality of Tirana, on the following routes:

- In "Mother Teresa" square, continuing along "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, "Gjergj Filipi" street, "Pope John Paul II" street, "Ismail Qemali" street, "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, "Bajram Curri" boulevard ", the intersection with "e Elbasani" street, "George W. Bush" street, "Abdi Toptani" street, "Zogu I" boulevard, "Ri Boulevard", "Ded Gjo Luli" street, "e Durrës" street, "e Kavajë", "Myslym Shyri" street, "Zhan D'Ark" boulevard from the intersection with the Tirana District Court bridge to the Taiëan bridge, "Bajram Curri" boulevard from the intersection with the Tirana District Court bridge to the Taiëan bridge , "Ibrahim Rugova" street and "Lek Dukagjini" street, with the exception of emergency vehicles and the State Police.

4- The movement of vehicles will be done according to the movement plan attached to this ordinance as follows:

- In the Middle Ring, except for the segment of the Tirana District Court bridge to "e Elbasani" street, "Luigj Gurakuqi" street, "e Dibra" street, "e Barrikadave" street, "Mine Peza" street, "e Kavajë" street from Technological bridge to "21 Djetori" street, "Vaso Pasha" street, "Ismail Qemali" street, from the intersection with "Vaso Pasha" street to "Sami Frashëri" street, "Abdyl Frashëri" street from the intersection with "Willson" square to "Vaso Pasha" street.

- At the intersection of "Elbasani" street and "Zhan D'Ark" boulevard with forced right and left directions respectively.

- At the intersection of "e Barricadave" road with "e Dibra" road, forced directions in function of suspension of traffic in the "Unaza e Vogël" segment with exit to "Zogu I" boulevard.

- At the intersection of "Zogu I" boulevard with "Fortuzi" street, forced directions due to traffic suspension.

- On the "Mine Peza" road, forced directions in function of the traffic suspension in the "Durres" road segment.

- At the intersection "21 Djetori", forced directions in function of the suspension of traffic in the segment of the "Kavaja" road.

- On "Myslym Shyri" road with "Sami Frashëri" road, forced direction in function of suspension of traffic in the "Myslym Shyri" road segment at the ring road exit.

- At the "Vasil Shanto" intersection, forced directions in function of traffic suspension in the "Bajram Curri" boulevard segment.

- At the intersection of "Pjeter Bogdani" street with "Vaso Pasha" street, forced directions in function of suspension of traffic in the segment of "Pjeter Bogdani" street with exit to "Ibrahim Rugova" street.

- At the intersection of "Abdyl Frashëri" street with "Vaso Pasha" street, forced directions in function of traffic suspension in the segment of "Vaso Pasha" street with exit to "Ibrahim Rugova" street.

- At the intersection of "Adem Jashari" street, forced direction in function of traffic suspension in the segment of the road with exit to "Ibrahim Rugova" street.

2.2. The itinerary of the movement of vehicles on urban lines will be diverted as follows:

-Line No. 1/A “Headquarters — Crystal — Center — Train Station — Allias” and 1/13 “Sun Hill 2 — Crystal — Center — Train Station — Allias” is temporarily suspended.

- Line No. 2 "Teg — Old Sauk — Zoo — Former Train Station" detours to "Willson Square".

- Line No. 3 "Kashar - Yzberisht - Center" deviates to "21 Djetori" and to "Karl Topia".

- Line No. 4 "Center — QTU — Megatek — City Park" deviates to "Karl Topia" square.

- Line No. 5/A "Former Autotractor Factory - Center" deviates to the "Elbasani" road bridge.

- Line No. 5 /B "Institute - Center" deviates from "Karl Topia" square.

- Line No. 6 "Laprakë" deviates from "Bird I". - Line No. 8 "Former Train Station — Center — Sauk i Ri/ Sauk i Vjetër/ Sanatorium — TEG" diverts to "e Elbasan" street, "Cyteti Studenti" roundabout.

- Line No. 9 "Student City — Jordan Misja" is temporarily suspended.

- Line No. 10/A "Martenitet i Ri — Center — Former Aviation Field" deviates to the "Elbasani" road bridge.

- Line No. 12/A "Uzina Dinamo e Re — Sawrë" deviates to "21 Djetori" in the direction of the "Vasil Shanto" bridge and then the buildings with arrows, the rest is temporarily suspended.

- Line 12/B "5 Maji — Sharre" deviates from "Zogu I" to "21 Djetori" in the direction of the "Vasil Shanto" bridge and beyond the buildings with arrows, the rest is temporarily suspended.

- Line No. 13 "Tirana e Re" deviates to "Willson" square and the rest to "Karl Topia" square.

- Line No. 14 The ring is temporarily suspended.

- Line No. 15 "Kombinat - Kinostudio" divert to "e Kavaja" street at the intersection with "Muhamet Gjollesha" street (21 December) and the rest at the intersection with Unaza e Vogël continue straight (behind TOB).

5-The circulation of vehicles for mixed transport, technological and passenger transport (except urban transport vehicles) is prohibited inside the big ring on October 22, 2023 from 08.00 - 16.00./ CNA
