Yesterday, the police stated that they had accompanied two employees of Shkodër Municipality who were distributing bags of different food for electoral purposes.

This morning, with an announcement to the media, the police of Shkodra announced that three people have been handcuffed, as well as the wanted person has been announced.

According to the blues, the packages of food were ordered by the citizen with the initials AB, 33 years old, with the position of Director of the Directorate of Water Supply and Sewerage, Shkodër Municipality.

The arrested persons are the employees with the initials EI, 31 years old, with the position of Director of the Economic-Educational Directorate, PD, 49 years old, with the position of Technical Support Services in the Economic-Educational Directorate and MV, 63 years old, with the position of Finance Specialist in the Directorate Economic-Educational.

Seized as material evidence, 50 bags of food, as well as the vehicle in which they were transported.

The investigative structures of DVP Shkodër, in close cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office of Shkodër, have continued the in-depth investigative actions for the case identified at noon yesterday, in the western ring road of the city of Shkodër, where the Police services, based on informational intelligence, as well as as a result of territory controls aimed at preventing and combating electoral crimes, 3 employees of Shkodër Municipality, who were transporting 50 packages of food in a van, were escorted to the Shkodër Local Police Directorate.

At the end of the procedural actions for this case, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense "Active corruption in elections", carried out in collaboration:

-EI, 31 years old, with the position of Director of the Economic-Educational Directorate, Shkodër Municipality;

- PD, 49 years old, with the position of Support Services Technician in the Economic-Educational Directorate, Shkodër Municipality;

-MV, 63 years old, with the position of Finance Specialist in the Economic-Educational Directorate, Shkodër Municipality.

Also, from the in-depth investigative actions related to this case, it became possible to ascertain the citizen who had ordered the bags of food, specifically the citizen AB, 33 years old, with the position of Director of the Directorate of Water Supply and Sewerage, Shkodër Municipality, who was advertise wanted. The work for his capture continues.

Meanwhile, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Shkodër, for further actions./ CNA.al
