The official of DASH, Richard Nephew held a meeting with the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani and special prosecutors this Thursday.

Richard Nephew once again expressed US support for SPAK and justice institutions.

Also, the Coordinator for Global Anti-Corruption also met representatives of the Anti-Corruption Ministry, ILDKPKI and Public Procurement Agency.

The news has been confirmed by the American embassy in Tirana, which declares that the meetings focused on strengthening the independence of the judiciary and the fight against corruption.

"The Coordinator for Global Anti-Corruption, Richard Nephew saw the Albanian judicial institutions in action today during the meetings with the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, SPAK prosecutors, as well as representatives of the Anti-Corruption Ministry, the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Control of Assets and Conflict of Interest (ILDKPKI) and Public Procurement Agency. Nephew and Albanian officials discussed ongoing efforts to strengthen the independence of the judiciary and the fight against corruption. The United States will continue to support the justice institutions that are strengthening Albania's democracy as it progresses on its path to the EU," the US Embassy statement said./ CNA
