The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, stated today during a meeting with donors that this year the focus should be on support for the Security Academy, as it is the only source for re-energizing the police.

Balla said that the new law for the State Police will soon be approved, which is based on the restructuring of the career within the State Police and the strength of the source of employees who must come from the Security Academy.

"When we talk about the support we have to give to the State Police, this support is multifaceted.

Another moment that I will ask for a lot of focus is the support for the Security Academy. We talked with Great Britain, with the USA, with the Italian government, regarding support for the Security Academy.

I would welcome the strengthening of the Academy's capacity, as it is the only source for re-energizing the organization.
