Alarming results come for 15-year-old Albanians from the international PISA test, in terms of creative thinking. Our country ranks last out of 64 countries included in the study.

Activist Kolindo Vjerdha, in an interview with journalist Fabjona Pasho, for CNA TV, analyzes the causes of this result.

"Another report from PISA that shows the critical state in which education is today. It is precisely related to science and innovation. We must understand the reality with which we live today, in a world that is moving and embracing technological developments, digital, innovation. He tries to understand this, through creative thinking. This test, which really shows the critical situation our country is in. Albania has the highest percentage of students who do not reach it in less than 30 seconds title, or fail to understand a figure. What we fail today are the policies. On the other hand, we have problems regarding the training of teachers. We must understand very clearly that in the Albanian education system we have teachers who have not moved from the country They should understand that there should be not only training, with which the ministry is trying to justify itself, or delegate responsibility in this situation, by retraining teachers. A training, which is outside the working hours, but this is not solved with only one training, this should be a long-term process. We are talking about the adoption of learning processes, towards developments", he said.

According to Vjerdha, these results affect entire generations and will have consequences for the next 15 years, while emphasizing that there is a lack of will to undertake appropriate policies.

"What this report carries in itself is related to innovation, the adoption of new work processes and the setting in concrete terms, as far as the creative thinking of 15-year-olds is concerned. It is a report which in itself shows us how be the situation for the students, the citizens, in the next 15 years. So it not only shows the situation that education is in. Here we really understand how effective the methods are today, but it can be a very good projection for it understand our reality in the next 15 years, for those who will be in the labor market. Through this testing, we manage to understand the effectiveness of the policies, how the student's knowledge is translated into practice and everyday life political stability. In the last 10 years, we can say that the policies regarding student evaluation, as well as the processes and texts in schools, have changed continuously. This shows instability, but that directly affects the quality, even the adoption of teachers with different processes, but above all in the student, who finds it difficult to be adopted continuously. It is a continuous process that students stay within educational institutions where we have constant changes in methods, which undoubtedly affect the formation. We must understand that the texts, which were trumpeted many times, translated by Oxford, and so on. We managed to build fables regarding these texts, but in reality the results are measured by these indicators, which are indisputable and rank us far from the countries of the region", he said.

In his speech, the activist says that there is a lack of appropriate models for young people today.

"We are talking about leaders of higher education institutions in the country, which should have been the cornerstone of scientific research. The place where students should have been inclined to go and learn towards this academic world. If we say about such leaders, who justified themselves with a small mistake made, then this will also be forwarded to the lower levels. This will also be forwarded as a model for the students. In addition to the head of the University of Tirana, there are also some ministers. So we are talking about a process, which is widespread. The moment the process is widespread, it not only turns into a pattern, but becomes a universally accepted phenomenon."

Even earlier, the PISA results for Albania have shown that education in the country has deep problems./ CNA
