The high flow of passengers moving through the Rinas International Airport has caused heavy traffic, creating delays for passengers to arrive at the airport on time.

Citizens who have chosen to travel via Tirana airport must appear at the airport premises at least 3 hours before the scheduled time of departure.

This decision was taken as a measure to avoid heavy traffic during this summer season. Tirana International Airport (TIA), through an announcement, has called on passengers traveling from Rinas to be on time for their journey.

“To ensure a smooth journey and avoid heavy traffic during this summer season, please all passengers arrive at the airport at least 3 (trI) hours before the scheduled departure time. This proactive measure will help us maintain efficient operations and provide you with a stress-free experience," appeals TIA.

The first 3 months of this year start with an extraordinary increase in the number of travelers from Tirana International Airport, compared to last year. In the first three months of 2024 alone, TIA reports 63.9% more travelers than the same period last year or 1.9 million passengers who entered and left Albania. Meanwhile, over 250 planes land and take off a day at Rinas Airport./ CNA
