Video-scandal / SPAK demands a sentence of 4.6 years in prison for Gjici

In today's hearing at the Special Court of Appeal, the Special Prosecution demanded the punishment of Safet Gjici with 4 years and 6 months in prison and for Alma Kaçi the punishment of 1 year and 5 months in prison. Both benefit from a 1/3 sentence reduction due to summary judgment. 

Meanwhile, Safet Gjic's lawyer pleaded not guilty.

Neither Alma Kaçi nor her lawyer appeared at today's court session. Under these conditions, the court appointed a lawyer mainly, Arben Peci, who pleaded not guilty.

The decision for Gjici and Alma Kaçi is expected to be given on June 24 at 14:00. 


We remind you that the Court of First Instance has sentenced the former mayor of the Assembly to 3 years in prison only for abuse of office and with a shortened trial he will only serve 2 years in prison.

On June 16, a video was published on social networks, where Gjici, together with citizen Alma Kaçi, performed a sexual act in the office of the mayor of Kukes.

Alma Kaçi had an activity for the protection of animals and had gone to Safet Gjic's office to submit a project to receive funds. The latter was sentenced to 1 year in prison for prostitution./  CNA
