Urban renaissance in action/ From Korça to Tirana "open" the

Korça has become one of the most favorite destinations not only for locals but also for foreign tourists.

During holidays, bookings are numerous and you cannot find a place if the measures are not taken earlier.

But along with the desire of citizens to spend the weekend, holidays or holidays in Korça and its surroundings, the need for the construction of hotels has also increased.

During 2018-2021, almost 27% of hotel permits at the national level were granted in Korça.

While in Korça, more construction permits for hotels were granted, Tirana, which leads in terms of the number of construction permits, is focused on commercial and office centers.

Over the course of 4 years, a total of 4,645 construction permits for new buildings were approved throughout the country, an average of about 1,161 permits approved each year.

The highest number of construction permits approved in the period 2018-2021 is presented in Tirana with 1,490 permits

During 2021, the District of Tirana recorded the highest annual increase in the number of approved permits for "Commercial Buildings" with 85.7%. The counties of Fier and Durrës are presented with the highest number of approved permits for "Other Buildings" with respectively 23 and 17 approved permits in total, or about 45.5% of the approved permits of this indicator in Albania during 2021. / CNA.al
