"Works continue according to plan"/ Director of the Regional Road

The Director of the Albanian Regional Development Agency, Ami Kozeli, has stated that works on Corridor VIII are continuing according to plan and that the project's footprint will not change.

"The works of Corridor VIII, the route does not change absolutely, this is what we are here for. So Corridor VIII does not change," said Kozeli, rejecting any suggestion of deviation from the project.

He emphasized that after the completion of the works, a full analysis will be conducted with all stakeholders involved, to draw the necessary conclusions and lessons from this phase of implementation.

"Once all the work is completed, it will be necessary to form a group to draw conclusions, or rather lessons from this. We will gather with all the actors and institutions with whom we have been in consultation during this period," he said.

The statement comes at a key moment for the strategic infrastructure project, which is considered one of the most important connecting corridors for the country and the region.

"The works of Corridor VIII, the track does not change absolutely, this is what we are here for. So Corridor VIII does not change. Now we will of course, when all the works are completed, it will be necessary to form a group to draw conclusions or more precisely to draw lessons from this.
