Why doesn't Plarent Ndreca demand an open trial against him?

SPAK defendant Plarent Ndreca, also the lawyer for the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, requested that the trial sessions on the merits be open to the public. A request that was actually rejected by Veliaj's lawyers in the first session of the trial on the merits at the Special Court.

The request for Veliaj's open sessions and the presence of cameras was made by the media, but it was rejected by the mayor's lawyers and there is a court decision, now Ndreca comes out and demands it with cameras, first a nail, then a horseshoe, let's talk about what to talk about!

Plarent Ndreca was in the Special Court today for the trial being held against him, on charges of violating equality in tenders, but he did not request a closed-door session. Why is he requesting one for Veliaj and not for himself?

He has his own problems with justice, Plarent Ndreca, but everyone should face it the same way. Everyone should be equal with justice. Not one with a camera, the other without a camera.

Let him go to the GJKKO, ask for cameras and an open trial in the process against him, showing us that he has free will and standards for this issue, all in front of the cameras, both Ndreca and his Zdromsi.

And in order to have quick trials with cameras that bring everything that happens directly to the public, the hearings must take place and not drag out the processes as in the case of Zdroms or Ndreca.

Erion Veliaj, who is facing 13 charges for 5 serious criminal offenses, has evaded justice, with successive attempts to drag out the judicial process for 8 months. If Veliaj had been faced with the evidence and justice after 8 months, he would have either been declared innocent or convicted and the process against him would have been closed.

Veliaj's schemes to drag out the process went so far as to assign a defense attorney to a person under trial by the GJKKO, accused by the Special Prosecution Office of violating equality in tenders.

A person who one day must appear before judges for his own trial, and another day to defend his client who faces charges of corruption, abuse of office, and concealment of assets. /CNA
