October 7 protest/ State Police takes measures, the axes will be blocked

The State Police, in implementation of the tasks defined in the special plan of measures, is fully committed to guarantee order and security, before, during and after the end of the gathering that will take place on 07.10.2024, at 18:00 , in the city of Tirana.

We inform the citizens that on 07.10.2024, at 18:00, until the end of the rally, there will be a traffic jam on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard from the intersection of the Ministry of the Interior to "Mother Teresa" square and on the streets: "Free Ukraine", "Pope John Paul II" and "Ismail Qemali".

Depending on the development of the rally, there may be vehicle traffic restrictions on the following roads:

Cafe "Europa" - Segment "Unknown Soldier" up to 9 floors;

School "1 Maji" - the intersection of the ATSH bridge to the Elbasani road;

Crossing of the Artistic High School to the Faculty of Foreign Languages;

"Skenderbej" Square, Tirana Municipality and Palace of Culture;

Crossroads of the University Book;

The intersection of December 21 to the "Sabaudin Gabrani" school;

Crossroads in the former Block area, "Ibrahim Rugova" street and "Ismail Qemali" street;

Roundabout "Black Bird";

Crossing at the former train station;

Taiëan Bridge Crossing;

The intersection of Kavaja street with the entrance to "Skënderbej" square;

Crossing of the bridge of the former hotel "Dajti";

Crossing of the 9-storey building with Barricades Street;

"Dritan Hoxha" street, in front of the place called "Kupola";

Crossing the palace with arrows.

We ask for the understanding of citizens to avoid driving vehicles on these roads and use alternative routes, in order not to hinder the free movement of the participants in the rally.

The State Police fully respects the right of citizens to organize and participate in gatherings and calls on organizers, leaders, participants in gatherings, and representatives of political subjects to exercise their right in accordance with the Constitution and legislation in force.

In this context, the State Police appeals to all those who will participate in the rally, to distance themselves from any act that harms public safety and life and any act of violence against state institutions, public and private property, against Police employees, media representatives and citizens.

The police guarantee the citizens that they have taken all measures to fulfill their institutional responsibilities, to guarantee order and security, before, during and after the end of the rally, as well as to guarantee public and road safety, throughout the country./ CNA
