Journalist Julian Hoxhaj spoke about the floods in Vlora.
During an interview on "Syri TV", Hoxhaj said that the whole situation that got out of control in Vlora due to the intense rains that brought great flooding is a consequence of the institutions' negligence.
Hoxhaj said that in this case there is a whole chain of responsibilities that must be taken in the investigation.
He also stated that the citizens are being tried to shut their mouths about this situation.
The journalist emphasized that many families affected by the floods have not yet received any phone calls regarding the damages that may have been caused to them.
"The damage is a consequence of institutional negligence. We can't blame the weather. It was the non-functioning of hydrovores that draw water. Even the water heater that was working was burnt. Today, Vlora does not have hydropower. It's the old pumps. We have a chain of responsibilities, they must be investigated. Today, we have hundreds of families who have not received a call from the institutions regarding the damage caused to them. There are attempts to silence citizens", said Hoxhaj./ CNA
