Shkodra adds paid parking/ 11 streets and squares that are included in the new

Shkodër municipality

Shkodër municipality will add paid parking spaces in the city. Thus, 11 streets and squares will be part of the paid vehicle parking scheme in the city of Shkodra.

This was presented in the public hearing organized in the municipal council hall by the local administration, where there was no participation of citizens.

Oltion Luli, chairman of the Municipal Council of Shkodra, said that with this project-decision both the citizens of Shkodra and the Municipality of Shkodra benefit.

"It is a project-decision that has been discussed a lot with various experts, including the specialists at Shkoder Municipality, which aims to improve the traffic problems which in one way or another affect all citizens in Shkoder, but not only.

By order of the Mayor, the work team was set up, which was involved in the drafting of this draft decision, consisting of 7 members.

It is a work that is presented today in front of the public, but at the same time the opinion of specialists is required, who can improve such a project-decision so that it is as applicable as possible by the citizens of Shkodra.

The member of the working group, Pjerin Lazri, announced the streets where parking will be paid. The fixed rate will be 50 new lek per hour for cars and 300 lek for buses in Shiroka.

"The municipality of Shkodër, in the framework of exercising its activities and functions, has taken the initiative to designate some areas that will be set up as paid parking lots.

The tariff areas for the purpose of setting the public parking service fee will include the axes as follows:

The location with the largest load with intensive financial, commercial, institutional or social interactions.

A part of the road network of this area maintains the activity of the public administration, business centers, banks, cultural institutions, tourist activity, bars, service units, the main points where the problems in vehicle parking have been found.

In these axes, the parking service will be paid: Zogu i Parë Boulevard, segment from Parruz square to Balshaj square, the right side, as well as including a short part of the left side that is currently a public parking lot, Lazri emphasized.
