They lead the list of foreigners/ One in 50 Albanians in England is in prison

"Daily Telegraph" has published an article, which states that 1 in 50 Albanians in England is in prison.

According to official figures, more than 1,200 Albanians are in prison and thus head the list of over 130 nationalities of prisoners in the country.

After Albanians, come Kosovars and Vietnamese, Algerians, Jamaicans, Eritreans and Iraqis. On the other hand, German, Italian, Indian, Greek, American, French and Chinese citizens have the lowest number of prisoners.

The figures show that the number of foreign nationals imprisoned is higher than that of Britons imprisoned in the UK.

Tory MPs have called on Conservative and Labor governments such as Denmark and several US states to release data which would allow tabulations of the crime rates of each nation's immigrants.

While data on nationalities among the prison population reveal the rate of serious crime committed by non-British nationals, there is no data on offenses committed by immigrants who have not been imprisoned./ CNA
