Draft law "On whistleblowing and whistleblower protection"/ Korreshi:

The Committee on Legal Affairs is reviewing the draft law "On Whistleblower Reporting and Protection", an initiative of the Council of Ministers.

During the discussions, DP MP Saimir Korreshi called the law ridiculous, while ironically saying that spies will come to light and will no longer be hidden.

"You have been greatly troubled that there will be so many requests for spies that you will not satisfy your electorate's desire for employment. Hitler said, when I came to Albania, I took a bag of money but I found spies without money. With this law, you will also expose the spies. Even Enver, who kept it secret for 50 years, kept the spies secret. You are bringing them out into the light of day. With this law, Albania is not honored. And in the public and private sectors, you are creating a kind of spy war. It is ridiculous as a law. There is no time to waste with whistleblowers," said Korreshi. /CNA
