For five months, Erion Veliaj's trial has been in a cycle of postponements. And finally, at the hearing held at the GJKKO, it was learned that the mayor reiterated the fact that he has not yet been familiarized with the acts.
Although in other hearings his lawyers, who have changed frequently, have stated that they are familiar with the documents, Erioni says that he was unable to obtain them and that SPAK must print them for him.
In fact, the lawyers received the documents on July 24, according to a format prescribed by law. Veliaj does not accept them or cannot access them because it is the fault of the prison directorate, which does not allow him to access a computer.
Another justification of the lawyers is that there are 60,000 pages and they are too many to print, they cannot go to the prison by cart. Although they could take these acts piece by piece.
According to data collected and verified by CNA, a pack of paper holds about 500 pages. Printed on both sides, it is 1,000. A box holds about 10,000. So, with six boxes, like this photo that we have included in this article, about 60,000 pages are printed, which Erion Veliaj claims and which he wants to make available and take to where he is.

Seeing this huge bottleneck, we did a simple calculation. In addition, we called several printing studios. According to the offers we received, the maximum was 4 new lek per page.
A black and white print. But we didn't get the offer for 60,000 pages, but we got it for 10,000. Maybe 60,000 would be cheaper, but let's calculate it with the price we were offered for 10,000 pages.
So, in a simple calculation, to print 60,000 pages multiplied by 4 lekë that our maximum offer came to us, the entire printing costs 240,000 new lekë. So, we are talking approximately about 2,500 euros. The cost of printing all the documents by Erion Veliaj's lawyers.
In fact, Erion Veliaj wants SPAK to print them, that is, to be paid for by the taxes of Albanian citizens. And on the other hand, his lawyers who receive 300,000 euros do not print them. They do not have 2,500 euros within the budget of 300,000 euros that are paid to his law firms or his lawyers.
The man who spent 900,000 euros on intimate apparel for his wife from Albanian taxes doesn't have 2,500 euros to pay the court's ruling?! ( READ HERE )
The man who is paid about 320 thousand new lek or 3300 euros per month and 3.82 million new lek per year or 40 thousand euros, (this does not include per diems and other benefits which are 783 thousand new lek or 8 thousand euros) from the tax revenues of Albanian citizens.

Erion Veliaj receives 48 thousand euros a year from Albanian taxes and does not have 2,500 euros, less than his monthly salary, to pay to print the acts that have been sent to the court.
Seeing Erion Veliaj's "great misery", seeing that his brother, who circulates millions and millions of euros in budgets, was and is one of the largest advertising companies in Albania, does not have 2,500 euros to print his brother's documents.
Considering that Ajola, with dozens of NGOs with millions of euros in revenue, does not have 2,500 euros to print her husband's documents.
Looking at nine or ten businessmen who are part of the criminal process, collaborators who have won tenders, have received money from Erion Veliaj, they don't have 2,500 euros all together to print Erion Veliaj's documents, as a friend they have.
After communicating with several companies that offer this service, namely printing, we decided to donate the printing of the acts to Erion Veliaj to get his trial out of the impasse.
So that Erion Veliaj doesn't tell us he doesn't have the documents, so that SPAK is satisfied, and so that the lawyers, Ajola and the businessmen who are in court can save these 2,500 euros. We are giving them sponsorship.
According to the firm that offered us the printing for 4 lek, it is willing to print several separate volumes, at the request of the defendant Erion Veliaj, and to make them into a book, and to put a cover with his face or any other face, whoever Erion Veliaj likes.
We recommend a Dumani-Dado duo, but if you don't accept it, we can also do it with a photo of Edi Rama.
Starting today, we will continue to publish our request to print Mr. Veliaj's documents every day.
We are willing to offer it for free. That way, the process progresses, and Erion saves this money along with the lawyers or other people we mentioned above.
We are waiting for them to bring us the USB to print the documents.
The USB drive that Erion Veliaj took possession of with his documents may have cost approximately, according to the data we requested, the amount we will provide as sponsorship to print Erion Veliaj's documents.
So, Albanian taxpayers have given Erion Veliaj a USB that should cost between 2,000 and 3,000 euros. We are offering him the same amount for free to print it.
They just need to bring the USB and we will recommend the entity that we have agreed on in principle. But we have two or three offers that we have collected and we will choose the best one to print the documents as soon as possible for Mr. Veliaj and deliver them to him piece by piece, day by day, and within this week he will have them in his cell in Durrës prison./ CNA
