Korça Court changes security measure/ MP's brother leaves cell

After 40 days in prison, Alti Nallbati, brother of Democratic MP Bledjon Nallbati, and two other citizens Marsel Buçi and Trajan Çeliku have left the Drenova prison premises after the court decided to change the security measure to "house arrest".

It is learned that in the court session, after 40 days of being kept in "prison arrest" security measure, due to the collection of evidence and additional investigative actions of the prosecution, the three arrested who took hostage and raped 32-year-old Ilir Topçiu, were placed under house arrest. It was the court's decision that released the three suspects of this incident from their cells.

The incident occurred more than a month ago in the city of Bilisht, where the three arrested men forcibly took 32-year-old Ilir Topçiu to a warehouse owned by one of the arrested men, where they raped him and held him hostage for several hours. Alti Nallbati and Trajan Çeliku were charged with the criminal offenses of "illegal deprivation of liberty" and "intimidation", both offenses committed in collaboration. While Marsel Buçi, in addition to the two aforementioned criminal offenses, was also charged with "intentional minor injury".
