Raped and impregnated a 12-year-old girl/ Korça Court leaves 67-year-old

The Korça Court remanded 67-year-old citizen Rushan Selko, who is accused of raping and impregnating a 12-year-old girl, in the security measure of "Arrest in prison". 

Selko sexually abused his underage neighbor in August. The serious incident took place in the 67-year-old's apartment in the village of Piskupat in the Municipality of Pogradec. 

During this period, he threatened the minor not to tell anyone about what had happened, and the case was discovered by the minor's parents who noticed her physical changes.  

The medical examination revealed that the girl was 22 weeks pregnant, and she then recounted the entire serious incident. 

The prosecution requested the security measure of arrest in prison for the 67-year-old, which was accepted by the court. The hearing, held behind closed doors, lasted more than two hours.

Sources within the court session indicate that the 67-year-old has not admitted to sexually abusing the minor. Meanwhile, it is learned that a fetal sample was taken from the girl to conduct a DNA analysis to prove the paternity of the child. It is expected that after 2-3 weeks the results of the analysis will be released, which will shed light on the serious incident./ CNA
