An outraged Spaho addresses the protesters, writing, "Who do these stubborn monsters serve, who use them as cannon fodder, who have never thought about the interests of their country, but have been used by foreigners?"

He emphasizes that Albanians are harming themselves and their country by being pushed from abroad for the economic interests of neighboring countries.
