High number of new magistrates/ Çela: Due to the needs of the prosecution

The Head of the General Prosecutor's Office, Olsian Çela, shared today an assessment regarding the new magistrates, who have increased in number in recent years.

In his speech in the Assembly, Çela said that this number is also a result of the massive departure from the justice system.

On the other hand, Çela said that this number also has an impact on the quality of new employees and investigations, but according to him, this is correctable.

Çela added that this is a problem that district prosecutors are facing and that measures are being taken to increase professional training.

"The assessment of quality is relative. If previously the inflows were 10-12 every year. Now they are more numerous. We have gone up to 50-60. It means that those who enter the system, from the point of view of training, we have an inflow that is slightly related to quality, but it is correctable. Related to the overload in the organics, it prolongs their professional training. This affects the quality of investigations. Since there is a lack of experience. Measures must be taken for professional growth. In most districts, prosecutors are young. This brings shortcomings in the investigation. We are facing this. We must accept that it is an inevitable factor. As long as there was a massive departure from the system. It is a continuous process.
