Chief Prosecutor Olsjan Çela also answered questions about the safety of magistrates in relation to the serious incident of the murder of Judge Astrit Kalaja.

"The situation with buildings in Tirana is problematic, there is a need for a new building. The situation is unbearable."

Given the issue that has been discussed a lot and the very serious incident where the magistrate lost his life, this is related to the condition of the buildings and trained staff in terms of security. There is room for improvement. Urgent action must be taken on this. We have included all the concerns of the prosecutors in the discussion. Measures are being taken. There is a discussion with the state police to access this direction.

"We will have some demands for the assembly that we will make known," said Çela.

Among other things, regarding the outstanding issues, Çela said that there is a doubling of them and this has to do with the lack of a system.

"It is an unacceptable case, 5 years is intolerable. The reason why it happened has to do with the shortage that the system had. 35% shortage is a lot, there is overload, there is a doubling of the cases carried.
