The Head of the General Prosecution Office, Olsian Çela, shared today in the Assembly data regarding contributions for referrals for the initiation of investigative processes.

Responding to a question from the opposition, Çela stated that according to the referrals, it results that out of 127 criminal reports, 72 cases were referred by the Police, 10 cases by political entities, and 7 cases by individuals.

The largest number of cases referred, according to Çela, came from materials from the Special Prosecution Office, SPAK. 

"We created a mechanism of cooperation with all law enforcement agencies, including the CEC. What you are referring to is from 2025. I managed to extract the figures related to the contribution given for the referrals in this case. From the referrals made, it results that out of 127 criminal reports, 72 cases were referred by the Police. 10 cases were referred by political entities. Reports from citizens are 7 cases. Materials received from SPAK are 27 cases. As for the quality, I do not have this data today. It must be obtained from the prosecution offices according to the criminal procedure code", - said Çela. /CNA
