This Wednesday, the next hearing for Jamarbër Malltez, the son-in-law of the former prime minister Sali Berisha, is being held at GJKKO.

Malltezi has requested the abolition of the security measure "prison arrest".

In addition, his lawyers have requested the dismissal of judge Irena Gjoka with the argument that the decision was not made in time.

Malltezi has appealed the measure of prison arrest before.

The member of the DP National Council was put in handcuffs on the evening of October 21 at the Rinas airport, after being accused of passive corruption of high state officials and laundering the proceeds of the criminal offense related to the privatization of the former "Partizani" complex. 

Former Prime Minister Berisha is accused of passive corruption of high state officials.

SPAK claims that Berisha, in his capacity as prime minister, favored the privatization procedures of the former "Partizani" complex and that Malltezi was the direct beneficiary.

On the land of the former complex "Partizani", Malltezi, as an investor from the company "Homeplan" sh.pk, has carried out constructions and the benefits are calculated in the amount of 672 billion lek or 5 million euros./  CNA
