Changes in the Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church

Today, the Holy Synod of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania convened, the first under the leadership of His Beatitude Joan, after his election as Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all Albania.

At the meeting of the Holy Synod, two Metropolitans were elected, Mr. Anastas of Korça and Mr. Nathanael of Gjirokastra.

Thus, the composition of the Holy Synod is as follows:

His Beatitude, Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania, Joan (President);

His Grace, Metropolitan of Apollonia and Fier, Nikola;

His Grace, Metropolitan of Elbasan, Andoni;

His Grace, Metropolitan of Gjirokastra, Nathanael;

His Grace, Metropolitan of Berat, Asti;

His Grace, Metropolitan of Korça, Anastasius;
