EU accession negotiations/ 4 more chapters open for Albania today

Today, Albania will open four more chapters of negotiations for EU membership.

The news was announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama a few days ago, while the agenda was also revealed.

The meeting will serve to open negotiations with Albania on Cluster 4 "Green Agenda and Sustainable Connectivity", including chapters 14 (Transport Policy), 15 (Energy), 21 (Trans-European Networks) and 27 (Environment and Climate Change).

The 6th intergovernmental conference to be held in Brussels will be chaired by Rama and the Minister for European Affairs of Denmark, Marie Bjerre.

The conference is expected to start at 08:00. A press conference will be held at 09:15. The EU General Affairs Council will be held at 10:00.

Bjerre, Rama and Marta Kos will present their positions regarding the chapters that will be opened.

At the end of the meeting, Rama, Bjerre and Kos will deliver speeches that will conclude the 6th intergovernmental conference./ CNA
