The passing of Nano/ Former President of Montenegro: He left a strong mark on

Former Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic has reacted to the passing of former Prime Minister Fatos Nano. In a reaction to "X", Djukanovic described Nano as one of the most prominent Albanian politicians after the changes of the 1990s.

He further adds that the former prime minister left a strong mark on the democratic and economic development of Albania, as well as on strengthening regional stability. The former Montenegrin president expressed his condolences to Nano's family.

I received with regret the news of the death of Fatos Nano, former Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania and Chairman of the Socialist Party of Albania, one of the most prominent Albanian politicians after the changes of the 1990s, in which he played a pioneering role. He left a strong mark on the country's new course and its democratic and economic development, as well as on the strengthening of regional stability.

I will cherish the memory of Fatos, the constructive cooperation of our governments and the contribution to strengthening comprehensive good-neighborly and friendly relations, as well as the efforts in the initial realization of common European and Euro-Atlantic strategic goals.

I express my sincere condolences to the family, friends and party comrades of Fatos Nano.
