KPA confirms 2 prosecutors and 1 judge in office

The Special Appeals Chamber has today decided to confirm in office two prosecutors and one judge, who were subject to re-evaluation.

As announced by the KPA, these are prosecutors Juljan Çafka and Julian Xhengo and judge Laurent Fuçia.

Announcement:

The panel of the Special Appellate Panel, composed of Ina Rama as presiding judge, Natasha Mulaj as rapporteur, Albana Shtylla, Rezarta Schuetz, Sokol Çomo as members, continued the review in the deliberation room, with the aim of making the final decision on the case (JR) no. 70/2021, dated 23.11.2021, which concerns the appeal of the Public Commissioner, subject to reassessment Juljan Çafka, against decision no. 442, dated 14.09.2021 of the Independent Qualification Commission, following the announcement of the results of the final examination by the School of Magistrates.

At the end of the trial, the panel, based on Article 59, point 1, of Law No. 84/2016, “On the temporary re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania”, by majority vote, decided:

Confirmation in office of the subject of the reassessment, Juljan Çafka.

Confirmation in office of the subject of the reassessment, Julian Xhengo.

Confirmation in office of the subject of the reassessment, Laurent Fuçia.

This decision is final and has immediate effect.
