Conflict over Vlora Airport/Pacolli at the Tirana Prosecutor's Office: I

Businessman Behgjet Pacolli appeared today at the Tirana Prosecutor's Office. Pacolli stayed at the Prosecutor's Office for about 3 hours, and was reportedly questioned about the case and the conflict over the Vlora airport. After leaving the prosecutor's office, Pacolli spoke briefly to the media.

"I was here to give evidence for the criminal response that we have filed and as an informed person it seems right to me to go and show the chronology of the cases. The other party has filed a report, we have responded to their report. I was here for the report that my brother filed against some people you know against whom, and I was there as an informed person, to complete or provide information on this matter ," he said.

In response to journalists' questions, Pacolli said that the Albanian government has nothing to do with this. He added that he has left the matter in the hands of justice, and stressed that the Vlora airport will be built.

"The government has nothing to do with this. It is unfair to mention anyone from the government. The government has nothing to do with this. I have left it in the hands of justice. I strongly believe in justice and judicial decisions and I will act as the judicial decisions will follow. Everything is in order. Vlora Airport will be built and will be the most beautiful," said Pacolli. /CNA
