FACT/ Veliaj's arrest vs. escort to the Constitutional Court

Today Erion Veliaj was escorted in handcuffs to the Constitutional Court. The Minister of Justice is Besfort Lamallari.

Meanwhile, Ulsi Manja, the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, and prosecutor Ols Dado were accused of criminal behavior towards Veliaj.

In fact, what the Ministry of Justice and the General Directorate of Prisons have done today is implement the law.

They took Erion Veliaj and escorted him to the Constitutional Court with handcuffs on his hands.

In fact, Erion Veliaj and Mero Baze accused Ulsi Manja of repressive behavior for surrounding Erion with police officers when he underwent a medical checkup. But in reality, the law was enforced, which Ulsi Manja had not fully implemented at first.

It took Besfort Lamallari to take him out in handcuffs in public, but we cannot fail to mention the violation of the law that was committed during Erion Veliaj's arrest.

If we look at this photo here, Erion Veliaj comes out of the office in a Serbian manner, without handcuffs, with a file, and gets into the car like a gentleman.

Meanwhile, he should have been escorted in handcuffs. Apparently, it is Altin Dumani and Ols Dado who, at the moment of escorting Veliaj to the office, should be held responsible for the failure to enforce the law.

Erion Veliaj should have been handcuffed in the office and put in a vehicle. A vehicle could have been used as a cover, as has happened in other cases, and not left unhandcuffed.

Today, the work of Besfort Lamallari is to be praised, who has escorted Erion Veliaj in handcuffs as he deserves as any equal citizen of the Republic of Albania./ CNA
