Journalist Klodiana Lala has revealed other details from Lulzim Basha's appearance at the Special Prosecution Office.

Lala indicated that the resumption of the investigations occurred after the arrival of some audio materials from the United States.

According to the journalist, SPAK has registered criminal proceedings and is investigating the role of senior officials in the violent demonstration at that time.

"Basha was presented based on a summons signed by prosecutor Alfred Shehu, who is investigating the violent events of January 21, where a demonstration led by the then opposition led by Edi Rama took place and where 4 people lost their lives on the Boulevard. At the time the event occurred, Basha held the position of Minister of Interior, at that time he was in the Prime Minister's Office premises where the Republic Guard opened fire on the demonstrators, killing 4 of them. Due to the resumption of the investigation, based on data received from the US related to some audio materials later deposited by journalist Artan Hoxha and the victim's uncle Aleks Nika, SPAK has registered criminal proceedings and is investigating the role of senior officials in the violent demonstration at that time", - Lala said. /CNA
