Full reaction:

The sun set forever for the world genius of letters, Ismail Kadare. Dear friends, today is mourning, mourning and pain for the entire Albanian nation. Ismail Kadare, the world genius of Albanian letters, and one of the greatest writers of the time, closed his eyes forever to remain immortal in the Olympics of his works.
Laureate of the most prestigious literary awards such as Man Booker, Prince des Asturies, Jerusalem Prize, Ismail Kadare's works were translated into about 45 languages ??of the world.

In the darkest times of the Hoxist regime when you could open your own grave with a verse or a poem, with all the conformism that had prison and exile as the best alternative, Ismail Kadare managed to get out of Procruste's bed with works like "Palace of Dreams" ” etc. for which the regime censored him for years.

In the 1990s, Ismail Kadare was an advocate of freedoms and human rights and the opening of Albania. After leaving Albania, from exile in Paris he supported the Student Movement and the Democratic Revolution that overthrew the communist dictatorship in Albania.

Humbling with the greatest respect and the deepest gratitude before the memory and bright work of Ismail Kadare, I express my deepest condolences to his family, friends, relatives and pray together with them that the great spirit of may he rest in the peace he deserves. Amen!

The writer Ismail Kadare passed away at the age of 88 from natural causes.

Family members found him dead in his apartment in the early hours of Monday morning. They announced the emergency of QSUT, but they could not help the colossus of Albanian letters.

Ismail Kadare was born in Gjirokastra on January 28, 1936.

He was an academic, a politician, a former deputy of the People's Assembly and one of the greatest contemporary writers.

As a writer, he is notable mainly for prose, but his contribution also extends to dramaturgy, poetry and translations. He started writing when he was still young, first poetry, with which he became known, and then prose, becoming the main Albanian prose writer./ CNA
