On Monday afternoon, Prime Minister Edi Rama will hold a meeting with the heads of services at the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center, after the scandal at the Oncology hospital.

The meeting will take place in the premises of QSUT.

Until now, there are not many details about this meeting, which comes at a hot moment, when the scandal with tumor patients has erupted.  

Some of the doctors and employees of the Oncology Department have misused their duties, not giving the citizens the necessary service in the state hospital, but directing them to private hospitals, to get the services they were looking for.

Likewise, there have been cases of the purchase of drugs of considerable value for chemotherapy, from pharmacies which sold these drugs without the fiscal stamp and with a broken code, creating doubts about the authenticity of these drugs.

After the investigations of the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, the doctor Edmond Gashi, Halil Gashi and the pharmacist Florian Marku, were left under "house arrest".

The doctor Alketa Pere, the deputy director of QSUT Brikena Qirjazi and the coordinator Emiljano Lela, were left in the security measure "Compulsory appearance". /CNA
