The former footballer and former coach of the National Team, Bejkush Birçes, has passed away at the age of 81.
The Albanian football legend has died due to health problems.
The tributes to Bejkush Birçen will take place on Monday in the premises of the "Air Albania" stadium, starting at 11:00.
Birçes is one of the biggest names in Albanian football. He contributed as a player, as a coach and as a vice president of the AFL.
He was one of the football players of Partizan, which he later led as a coach.
He has also been a coach of Naftëtari, Flamurtar and Lokomotiva Durrës.
Bejkush Birçes led the National Team in the 90s, a difficult time for the country, as footballers took advantage of going outside Albania for matches, to abandon their team and their country.
He ended his career as a coach in Durrës, in the mid-90s, when he had to lead Teuta for the second time./ CNA
