The arrest of the officer in Durrës/ Reagon Balla

The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, has reacted regarding the detention of the deputy commissioner in Durrës as he is suspected of abuse of office and passive corruption.
Through an article on social networks, Balla states that the strengthening of cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the joint fight to clean up the centers of crime in front of and within the State Police, will take Albania to another level of the rule of law.
The Minister congratulated the Police Supervision Agency for documenting the evidence in this criminal proceeding.
"We have just sent to justice another police officer with the rank of N/Commissioner in the Durrës Local Police Directorate, involved in corruption and undermining the police's fight against trafficking and distribution of narcotics. I congratulate the Police Supervision Agency for fully documenting the evidence in this criminal proceeding and completing the investigations in close cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës.
I express the belief that the strengthening of cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the common fight for the cleansing of the centers of crime in front of and within the organization of the State Police itself, will take Albania to another level of the rule of law.
